For your benefit, we have developed the Excellence in Worksite Health Promotion Awards HELP page. This page provides a glossary of terms and definitions for the ten quality standards. The Montana Worksite Health Promotion Coalition is pleased to announce a new addition to our Excellence in Worksite Health Promotion awards, the Jill Young award. This award has been established to recognize the professionalism, dedication and excellence of one of our former longstanding members. Jill Young was intricately involved with development of the Excellence in Worksite Health Promotion Awards and recently moved out of state. Our Coalition was extremely fortunate to work with someone whose passion, dedication and professionalism made a significant impact on the ability of Montana’s large and small worksites to improve their employees’ wellness.
This award is by nomination only and can be given to an individual or a business. Please review the Jill Young award criteria and award application. Nominations will be accepted from December 16, 2001 - January 12, 2012.
Accessing the 2012 Award Applications
Step One: Check your system for Adobe Version 9 or greater
- Open your Adobe Reader.
- On the menu bar choose help.
- Scroll down to About Adobe Reader, click that option.
- A box will open. At the top of the box it will tell you what version you have.
- If you need to download Adobe or upgrade to Version 9 or greater, click on the icon below.
Step Two: Choose the award application you want to complete. The applications provided here are for viewing ONLY.
- Combined application for the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards,
- Renewal application,
- Jill Young award application.
- If you would like to fill out a 2012 award application please e-mail us and we will send you the fillable PDF form for that award.
- Follow steps 3-7 once you've been e-mailed the fillable PDF application form.
Step Three: Open the Award Application you want to complete.
- Click save as, choose a file on your network or your desktop. Save the Award Application in the network file you've chosen or on your desktop. This will allow you access to the application at your convenience and fill out as you gather information.
- DO NOT open and click save! The application will save in your temporary web files, you WILL NOT be able to access the application at your convenience and fill-out as you go.
Step Four: Follow the Award Application submission process / instructions carefully, complete your application.

Step Six: You will be contacted by the Montana Worksite Health Promotion Coalition Awards Work Group regarding your 2012 Award Application, by letter, in April 2012.
Step Seven: We strongly encourage you attend the 2012 Montana Worksite Health Promotion Conference May 2-3, 2012, at the Great Northern Hotel, Helena, MT for the awards presentation.
2012 Award criteria - This flyer outlines the ten quality of standards essential to meeting the requirements for a Gold, Silver or Bronze Montana Excellence in Worksite Health Promotion Award.
Criteria is updated each award cycle.
Next award cycle is 2014.

The Montana Worksite Health Promotion Coalition wants to further recognize current and past Excellence in Worksite Health Promotion award winners for outstanding achievement in worksite Wellness to their employees, community, and the state of Montana. Since 2007, several Montana worksites have received Excellence in Worksite Health Promotion awards; demonstrating that health promotion can be accomplished at Montana worksites.
The Coalition recently created a graphic to reflect the level and year these organization achieved the award(s). They have been asked to proudly display the graphics on their website or any printed materials.
